Immerse yourself in a vibrant celebration of all things folk where nature and culture come alive together! \nMark your calendar for August 22\, 2026 at 12:00 PM (BST) and experience the magic of this unique in-person event nestled in the heart of the woods. Bring your friends and family to enjoy a day filled with joyous interaction and community spirit in a beautiful garden setting. \nEnjoy live music\, art for all\, poetry\, storytelling\, artist film screening with popcorn making and a wee bitty dancing at our traditional Scot’s Ceilidh! \nT’s and C’s – This is an all weather outdoor event\, please dress for all our Scottish climates. Unfortunately no refunds will be given in the event cancellation due adverse/ dangerous weather as the day will be rescheduled and ticket sales cover basic festival running costs.

Drop in across the day for these open-ended workshops\, supported by our friendly team of designers. \nGo BIG with giant Imagination Playground blocks\, the ultimate loose‑parts play system\, plus design challenges that encourage experimentation\, prototyping and STEM learning. \nEvery month there are new resources helping your whole family to get creative together and bond through play\, from classic tabletop games to early years toys\, costumes and drawing materials. \nThis is a space where you’re free to choose your own unique way to play! These workshops are designed to be family-friendly but welcoming of all ages and abilities.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for storytelling\, music and movement throughout the museum\nGet ready to move and make some noise in this interactive workshop for little museum explorers\, led by our friends from Dundee’s multi-award-winning dance company Shaper/Caper. \nWe’ll explore tactile shapes\, the different ways we move our bodies and a new sensory story\, inspired by the themes of Design and Disability. \nPick up an instrument and join in with musical play\, stories and dressing-up\, then follow our friendly designers to take a wander through the galleries. \nOur early years activities are designed with play schemas in mind\, to support children’s natural instincts and help them make sense of the world. This month we’re focusing on connecting\, positioning and rotating. \nThis workshop is suitable for under 5s and their adults. No booking required – drop in\, dance and play!
