Welcome to Design Lives Here, UNESCO City of Design Dundee’s supporter scheme celebrating and showcasing individuals, organisations and businesses in Dundee who align with design values.
By becoming a supporter, you will be helping raise awareness of, and aligning your practice with, Dundee’s UNESCO Creative City designation. Supporters are featured on UNESCO City of Design Dundee’s social channels and promoted as local initiatives that champion design talent. By signing up, you are demonstrating your commitment to the six principles of our Design Lives Here Charter, which supports passionate design endeavours, community wealth building and design education.
This scheme isn’t just open to traditional design projects, but anyone who champions design within their work. You could be a designer yourself, or running a design centred business, but you can also support design through the way you work – such as hiring a designer for a rebrand, using a design company for your website, commissioning a designer to produce corporate gifts, or the implementation of design-thinking methods in decision making. Maybe you’ve worked with an architect to redesign your office space, or furnished your interiors with the work of designers. These and much more are all working styles this scheme champions!
You are encouraged to tell people you are a Design Lives Here supporter through social media, in presentations, at networking events and other opportunities. For a full list of scheme benefits, please see the sections below.
