Scotland’s design economy is a powerful and growing force. Worth almost £7 billion, it supports over 137,000 jobs and is expanding faster than nearly any other sector in the country. In fact, design now surpasses tourism in economic value generating around 50% more, while employing fewer people making it one of Scotland’s most productive and innovative industries.
Through design research, we’re building evidence to drive real-world impact for education, industry and society using inspiring, interactive ways to gather live insights from visitors and shape a national manifesto for design.
