This special creative workshop accompanies the current exhibition in the Lamb Gallery, Flow, exploring the theme of water through art, science and natural history and marking 20 years of the University’s UNESCO Centre for Water Law, Policy & Science.
Led by Jean Duncan (artist in residence at the UNESCO Centre), the workshop will focus on using different papers to create collages using the theme of water as a starting point. Participants will make use of a range of papers and learn about how different paints, glues and other preparations can change their effects as part of a collage. By the end of the workshop they will have used a range of methods to produce at least one water-inspired collage.
A range of materials will be provided, but it would be helpful if participants could bring along any spare papers they have – anything from newsprint or tissue to old sketchbook pages or wrapping paper.
Please meet in the Lamb Gallery on the first floor of the Tower Building, University of Dundee
The workshop will be limited to ten participants and is intended for adults only.
