Born and brought up in Dundee, Sheila worked in Community Learning and Development before studying Jewellery and Metalwork at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design as a mature student. She now works from her home studio in Birkhill, a village on the outskirts of Dundee. Working in sterling silver and also anodised aluminium Sheila designs and makes her jewellery collections taking inspiration from the world around her, the decorative, delicate and colourful structures of natural forms. The beach collection featured is created from the natural surface pattern and barnacles on seashells found on beaches around the local area.
