Not another
design festival
just for designers.
DDF21 is centred on opening up design to new audiences and creating a broad understanding of how design works, so we can apply it to our everyday lives and create a better future.
We are looking for two Game Development Interns to work alongside games industry professionals and festival producers Agency of None to research, develop and produce short experimental games content. We are looking for people who:
- Can respond to a brief with interesting and creative ideas
- Have experience developing small scale games content
- Can develop games content to be played via a web browser
- Can create games aimed at a broad audience
- Will actively contribute as part of the team but can work autonomously when needed
- Are experienced and comfortable working to tight deadlines
- Ideally, have an understanding of design locally, nationally and internationally
- Ideally have experience working with or creating accessible content
Both roles are based upon a 20 days of work to be completed across July, August and September. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions this project will begin with remote working as a requirement but if/when restrictions allow then this is likely to change.
DDF is committed to fair pay for those working in creative sectors. As a publicly funded festival we adhere to Creative Scotland’s commitment to fair pay and the intern roles will be paid at £120 per day.
Apply by 17:00 BST on 7th July
To apply, please email your portfolio or examples of your work to the email address below and include a statement of no more than 200 words explaining why you’d like to be part of the team.
We are looking to work with people who can demonstrate the skills outlined above so please ensure your work shows these clearly. Ideally, candidates would be located within Dundee City or surrounding areas. We may conduct follow up conversations via Zoom with candidates of interest.
This opportunity is sponsored by InGAME: Innovation for Games and Media Enterprise, part of the AHRC Creative Industries Cluster Programme with additional funding from the Scottish Funding Council.
